Happy Mother’s Day, 2012

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone! We hope all you Mom’s had a terrific day. Around here, the kids woke up early, putting together a great breakfast for Mom and tried to let her have a quiet, relaxing morning — before going on their normal weekend rampage.

Wow!!!! LR cooked up a huge batch of waffles and arranged this delicious breakfast for Mum! I'm really looking forward to Father's day.

May, 2011 Photo Wrap-Up

In May, Mom enjoyed a bit of a sleep in while RJ planned to conquer the world, with style. Poppa and Grammy took us to a great place to hide from Dad, and Joey soccer started up again, this time with RJ on board. Up at Gingin, we built version 1 of a flying fox (zip-line), which suffered from some serious design flaws, but was pretty fun regardless.

Happy Mother’s Day

Hope all the mums and moms out there enjoyed a special day with people that they care about!

Ours relaxed with a bit of breakfast in bed, a few cards, presents and flowers followed a bike ride and general rampage around a nearby lake.

Dear Mum, we would have let you sleep in, but we were so excited by all the great cards and presents that we made, that waking you up at 6am seemed like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. Love, the kids.

Mother’s Day 2010

This year, a relaxing sleep-in followed by a delicious breakfast in bed was not in the cards for our adventurous mother. Instead, she woke up before everyone to go and participate in the Perth Mother’s Day Classic, a run to raise money for breast cancer research. Dad and the kids got breakfast ready, decorated the house, prepared our presents and went to meet her there.

After getting back to the house, we presented mum with pancakes and some wonderful presents made by the kids (a cornucopia of hand-made fans, cards, drawings, and paper flowers).

Afterwards, in a wonderful display of independance, the kids engrossed themselves in face painting for an hour. Folowing that, in a wonderful display of support, the parents spent the next hour cleaning up face paints, washing down tables, clothes and children. All in all, a great day!
