A Trip to Gingin

We took a quick trip up to Gingin over the weekend and discovered that some of the trees had fruit on them. We also drove around the farm, stopping at the big pit for an explore. On the way back, we scouted for bones in the fields and discovered a complete fox skeleton, with teeth and everything else intact!

Foxxy made the rounds at the kids’ schools for show-and-tell, and was a big hit!

Introducing Unexpectedly Unimaginative Boy

(at the dinner table)

Dad: Anyone else want some moo juice?

LR: Moo juice? What’s that?

Dad: Just a silly name for milk.

Mum: You know. Like juice, from a moo cow.

RJ: (yelling) THERE IS NO MOO JUICE!

Mum & Dad: (surprised) It’s just a name for milk RJ.

RJ: IT’S NOT REAL. YOU’RE TRICKING.

LR: I would like some moo juice!

RJ: STOP TRICKING ME. YOU’RE LYING TO ME.

Dad: Okay RJ. How about some milk instead?

On the Nature of Bubbles

(at a birthday party, where RJ is attempting to drink juice and blow bubbles at the same time)

Mum: RJ, can I hold your juice box?

RJ: No. I’ll do a better job, I think.

(later, at home)

RJ: Know what this bubble stuff is made from?

Dad: No. What’s it made from?

RJ: Teeth.

(RJ wanders off singing the bubble-teeth song.)
