This is the third ‘present’ from RJ that I have found this week. They’ve all been decorated similarly. This one contained a rusty old bolt, but the other two contained carrots.

As usual, we have no idea why.

RJ: Can I have some more juice?

Dad: Sure, but there’s a new rule.

RJ: What’s that?

Dad: You can’t dip your chips in it any more. No dipping your food in your drink at dinner time.

RJ: That’s not a good rule!

Dad: Why not? No one else needs to dip their dinner in their drink.

RJ: (frustrated) Because… well… Argghh! (dramatically throws up hands) It’s just what I do!!!

…

Mum: You can still dip the carrot sticks if you want.

At the Farm-Zoo

On the weekend, we took a trip to a nearby farm school, known to the kids as “The Farm Zoo.”

LR and RJ check the laying boxes for eggs and chickens.

LR feeds the bossiest pony some carrot.

RJ decided to eat some of the carrots instead of feeding the animals.

RJ and Mum have a turn feeding the ponies.

Nanny goat loves broccoli!

RJ thought the goats were safer than the ponies.

LR and RJ wait for a ride on the 'tractor'.

Choc-milk and carrots for lunch? Does Mum know about this????

And icecream? Did Mum fall off the planet or something?

LR is willing to share with the cockatoos... Not!
