Here are some random drawings and pictures that have shown up lately.

Mouse Avenger #12, by RJ
Mouse Avenger is an original series that RJ has been creating. Each has a detailed, full-colour front cover with a series of black and white drawings inside. Most episodes involve battling some kind of dragons and/or scorpions. Mouse Avenger is pretty ruthless with his sword and shield.
The inside of Dad’s birthday card, from LR:

Why yes... Yes it does...
Dad and the kids were doing some drawings on the weekend and they were particularly proud of what they came up with…

Haunted Mansion, by RJ

Haunted Mansion (colour), by RJ and Daddy
Haunted Mansion is a book in the school library that RJ hasn’t read, but seems to know an awful lot about. Those are ghosts chasing the people and I do believe those are severed heads hanging off the legs of the evil crab monster.

Not being a particularly tall family, we weren’t really surprised to end up with short kids. It does have some benefits for us: almost every house has really high ceilings, there are many more surfaces that don’t require dusting and the legroom provided on most airline seats is just extravagant.
We generally forget about it until there’s one of those rare school events when it makes a difference. This was one of those.

Of all the work our kids have brought home from school, this struck me as the most tragic.
With answers like this, I guess there’s no need to write your name. The good news is that he doesn’t mind too much; it’s just the way things are.
(Note to others, if you’re looking for the best hiding spot in our house try on top of the fridge — it’s like another planet up there.)

Some recent artwork by LR. The first was for a school assignment about fairy tales.
The second was for a science competition that she wanted to enter. The small text captions in the image are science facts that she came up with to describe the things in her picture. You can find out more about the artist who’s part of the Helix competition here.

"I like the ending. She has a boy and a girl but the prince has not found her yet."
