Towards our wireless future

(in the car, on the way home from school)

RJ: (holding plastic box to his ear) Hello, mum?

RJ: Yes. What are you doing?

RJ: Making dinner? … Mmmm. That sounds great. We’re going to be home soon.

RJ: Oh… What? Hang on… What?

(suddenly yelling) WHAT WAS THAT? I CAN’T HEAR YOU WELL.

RJ: IT’S A PROBLEM. A MOUSE HAS CUT THE WIRE! I’LL TALK TO YOU LATER.

So which grandparent wants to fess up?

(Ever since RJ figured out how to carry his sword around in his t-shirt, we’ve been visited by a series of knights, soldiers, and one time, a “mighty warrior king”. LR reading stories about dragons and Camelot just isn’t helping.)

RJ: (urgently) There’s a dragon! I have to go and fight it!

Dad: Well off you go then, there’s no time to wait! Don’t forget your shield!

RJ: I can’t! It’s all melted from the dragon.

RJ: (pausing, suddenly gloomy) That was the day my grandfather died…

Dad: That must have made you so sad.

RJ: No. We were really angry, but we couldn’t fight. There were no shields left.

Dad: You’ll have to find some way to trick it, instead.

RJ: (walks off grinning deviously) Yes… Yes… I’ll need a tricky plan.

Well I could use some help with these veggies

(RJ strides into the kitchen, the hilt of a sword hovering behind his head, the blade thrust down the back of his t-shirt)

RJ: All right, I’m ready. What should I chop?

We wont be doing this again for a while

It’s been a really busy month, so expect a few more picture updates over the coming days / weeks. One of the massive events that took place was my little sister’s wedding! After over a year of planning and deliberation, everything went perfectly. Jess and Nic (and everyone else) looked fantastic. LR, along with cousins PB and AB were flowergirls, and RJ went down the aisle as a page boy a secret agent.

These are just a few of the photos taken by me. The photos from the real photographer are still on the way.

The forecast for late afternoon thunderstorms was thankfully wrong.
