Welcome Bella and Rhino

Our family has gotten larger by two. Bella and Rhino came home with us on the weekend, and while still a little sore from a recent (snip) operation, the two ladies were full of vim and vigour. Actually, they probably have a little too much vim, but so do the kids, so it’s probably an even match.

The kids named the ferrets before they had even arrived. LR named Bella and RJ named Rhino.

Someone else: You can’t call your ferret Rhino… That’s a boy’s name!

RJ: There are girl rhinos too, you know!

(Score yet another point for RJ… You tell ‘em, little man.)

Rhino and Bella are pleased to make your acquaintance.

Awww! I started singing Sockertise and Arieadnie’s song. It’s like old times. Oh, and I probably spelled their names horribly wrong.

Oh my goddess, they are adorable. Can’t wait to hear about all of the adventures!

Welcome to the crazy world of the Family! Its pretty awesome – they feed us mice and chicken and lots of Ferretone. I have some cool toys, but my favourite thing to do is steal shoes and nip at Subi’s nose. She’s not allowed to bite back. It’s hilarious! Hopefully we can move to Australia in a few years.

    Dear Frank and Beanie,
As much as Bella and Rhino would love to meet and play with you, I think we’re all out of luck. You still can’t bring ferrets of any sort into Australia…and they’re very firm on never changing that rule. Too many diseases exist in the US that don’t exist here! That means that Australian ferrets are a very inbred lot. We have our suspicions about Rhino. It took her two days to figure out how to go up the ramps in her cage.
